GoldFax Demo - Receiving Faxes - Network Folders

GoldFax is easy to use. GoldFax can automatically save received faxes to network folders as an Adobe PDF or TIFF image file. As long as you are authorized to access these folders, you can view the received faxes.

You can create folders for specific users or specific business processes, for example, “Received Fax Orders”. All GoldFax sent and received faxes can be archived to secure network folders independent of a copy routed to users for processing. This provides an automated method to address corporate and industry compliance regulations regarding document retention and access including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Sarbanes-Oxley, Gramm-Leach-Bliley, Freedom of Information Act, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, etc.

To view a received fax that is saved to a network folder, simply double click on the file to open it. You need to have a PDF or TIFF viewer on your PC - Adobe Reader is free and TIFF viewers are included in most PCs.

TIFF files can be viewed and annotated using Microsoft Office Document Imaging. For example, add a “Please process Purchase Order ASAP” note on the fax and forward it to another user for processing. Annotations are layers on top of the original received fax and do not alter the image. You can make the annotations permanent.

You can forward it to another GoldFax user, delete it, provide “From” and “Subject” information, forward it to any email address, save it to a network folder, or print it.

You can also save a copy of the fax as a PDF to another network folder for processes or input into your Document Management or Content Management System.
