GoldFax Technical Terms - Rendering

Rendering Documents

GoldFax "renders" any type of document into a fax image.

Rendering is the GoldFax process that takes the original document (Word, Excel, PDF, etc.) and turns it into a fax image by printing it to an internal printer driver that reduces the resolution of the document to the fax image resolution standard of 200dpi. GoldFax has intelligent algorithms that can take images (color, black and white, or grayscale) in documents and create patterns that show the image with shading and contrast.

Any type of document can be rendered by GoldFax just by putting a copy of the original software on the GoldFax server. For example, Microsoft Office and Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader are installed on the GoldFax server if you need to fax Word, Excel, or PDF documents.
